As you may be aware, IIT Gandhinagar has already registered a modest first, by becoming a preferred destination for undergraduate students among the new IITs. Our next goal is to make this Institute a preferred destination for research students by attempting to shape it as an excellent centre of research. With this goal in mind, it is important for us to carefully plan the perspectives of research that we envisage at IIT Gandhinagar in the near future.
In pursuit of our efforts in this direction, we are planning to hold a Brainstorming Workshop entitled Perspectives of Research at IIT Gandhinagar in the Near Future: a Vision.
In the course of this workshop, we expect to obtain valuable insights and inputs on this theme from the distinguished invited participants.
