The student body of IIT Gandhinagar brings out a magazine The Palantir, published every semester with contribution from the students and faculty members. The first issue was launched by Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Gandhinagar, on 19th August, 2009. He is also the Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy.
