5th Roddam Narasimha Lecture Series
The Chairman of Space Commission in India, Shri Alur Seelin Kiran Kumar, gave a talk on “Space Technology – Contribution to India’s Development”, as the 5th lecture under ‘The Roddam Narasimha Lecture Series’ of IITGN.
Convocation - 2016
A total of 114 BTech students, 79 MTech students, 23 PhD students, 30 MSc students, 12 MA students and 4 PGDIIT students were awarded degrees at the 5th Convocation which concluded successfully on 6th August 2016 at IITGN.
A five-week immersion Foundation Programme for all new undergraduate students nurtures creativity, communication skills, ethics, teamwork, social engagement and physical fitness.
IIT Gandhinagar undergraduate students undertake nearly 20% of their coursework in the liberal arts as well as compulsory courses in design and the life sciences.
PROJECT ORIENTED LEARNING
Our students have undertaken innovative community and commercial projects both inside and outside the classroom, from teaching science to students at a neighborhood school to developing a digital walking stick for the blind.
Nearly a quarter of IIT Gandhinagar undergraduate students availed educational or internship opportunities abroad.
